Welcome to "A Tour Of My Rose Garden". My rose garden is in Blackburn Hamlet, just outside of Ottawa,
Ontario, Canada. I am in my third year of growing roses in the Ottawa Valley, and I have found the conditions to be excellent, although the growing season is very short.

Usually, I uncover my roses in mid to late April, and see the first buds within a week of that. After that I have my first blooms in late July, and I can guarantee blooms until early October.

I cover them every winter with compost and oak leaves because the winters in the Ottawa Valley are long and tough. But, even with the tough winters and icestorms, I have lost only two plants over three winters.

I have put a maximum of three 256 color images per page to make the download times a little easier to handle, but if you are like me and still have a 14,400 modem please be patient.

I think it will be worth the wait!
